Fellowship Program in Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata
Tata Medical Centre is offering fellowship positions in several specialties commencing from January 2011. The major objective of the Fellowship Program is to train leaders in academic oncology. Fellows should achieve excellence in the practice of their specialties in oncology in a multidisciplinary setting and acquire the skills necessary for independent and productive investigation.
1. Fellow I - 1st year after completion of PG course - Rs. 7.80 lakhs per annum
2. Fellow – II - 2nd year after completion of PG course - Rs. 8.04 lakhs per annum
3. Fellow – III - 3rd year after completion of PG course - Rs. 8.28 lakhs per annum
4. Special Fellowship - Fresh DM / MCh - Rs. 11.04 lakhs per annum
Fellowship is on fixed terms contract basis. Mediclaim benefits (self only) for hospitalization purpose not exceeding Rs. 1 lakh. Weekly minimum 48 hours duty with shifts/on calls as required. Outstation candidates will have to arrange their own accomodation.
DM (Clinical Haematology/ Medical Oncology) or MD (General Medicine/ Pediatrics/ Pathology)
For MD candidates: at least 1 year experience in working in a reputed hematology setup. A reference from the previous centre would be a requirement for these candidates. Please refer to the linked fellowship document for detailed eligibility criteria.
M Phil degree in Clinical Psychology that is registrable with the Rehabilitation Council of India as a clinical psychologist. Candidates who have appeared for their M Phil (Clinical Psychology) examinations and awaiting results are also eligible to apply
Some experience in treating and dealing with patients with cancer is desirable.
