The infrastructure in the Out Patient Department (OPD) aims to maximise ambulatory care and minimise the need for hospitalization with its associated morbidity and increased costs. Among the outpatient services envisaged are consultations, diagnostic investigations, day-care surgery, biopsies and stent placements, minimal-access surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and counselling.
